Hullo. I’m a Brisbane-based writer, critic, and editor. My debut poetry chapbook, The Voyage, was published by SweetWater Press in 2009, and a full-length collection is forthcoming. I’m fond of strange myths, incisive verse, theatre, graveyards, tea, and editing.

I am an editor with many hats; I serve as Rave Magazine‘s arts editor, Cordite Poetry Review‘s assistant editor, and poetry editor on the editorial committee of Voiceworks Magazine. You can read my poetry and other writings here, or you can hire me to write, edit or perform here.
My favourite authors include Jeanette Winterson, Virginia Woolf, Oscar Wilde, Madeleine L’Engle, and Neil Gaiman. I love the music of Bic Runga, David Bowie, Tori Amos, Tom Waits, Jason Webley, Mirah, Leonard Cohen, Satie, Debussy, and Bach.
Here are some of the projects I have on the go at the moment:
- A novel about a bird-watcher, a nagging ghost, and a coy mermaid.
- A suite of poems in conversation with the inhabitants of Toowong Cemetery.

Zeoobia Frost is one of the world’s finest performance poets and her poetry is destined to become part of the great canon of English Literature. Her intelligence, grace and humour along with her tremendous craft and understanding of language combine to create a truely unique and remarkable talent. Already recognised in Australia as one of our greatest cultural assets, it is only a matter of time before Zenobia is hailed universally as this millenium’s first truely great poet and author.
Goodness me! *blush* That’s very sweet of you. Thank you. :)
You’re welcome. I wrote you a little poem in the comments section at Graham’s place. I hope you don’t mind.
Hello,
I just wanted to say thankyou for your wonderful post regarding the current QLD election. I was very disillusioned after the results. But then I found a link to your page that someone had posted on Facebook. After reading your post, I feel much stronger and I understand that I must fight on for all my friends.
Thank you,
Jimmy
Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for your support — and you’re welcome! I had no idea anyone would even read it.
I’m heartened to see Queensland’s fighting spirit.
